CONSTELLATIONS OF ABANDONMENT

Constellations of Abandonment is a project of emotional mediation and participatory creation in which experts of the Suitcases of Abandonment project help refugees to create emotional maps made up of stories about people, both known and unknown, who have marked their Romanian experience last year.

Each of the 11 projects in the constellation is an individual or collective creation about how the war trauma has seeped into the lives of the women who helped us build this project, 16 months after the conflict broke out in Ukraine. Most photographs are intimate and faithful witnesses of the last year of refuge, taken right from their mobile phones.
